Balance Innovations and NCR integrate self-checkout into the back office

Lenexa, Kan. ― Balance Innovations today announced the integration of its VeriBalance software solution with NCR Corporation's self-checkout solution, NCR FastLane™.
This integration, provided by Balance Innovations' vbScout, allows a retailer's back office to operate more efficiently by automating the balancing and reconciliation of NCR FastLane terminals. They can also reduce how often self-checkouts are balanced by monitoring cash levels from the back office. The integration of NCR FastLane and the back office makes self-checkouts just as easy to manage as they are for customers to use.
vbScout capabilities include:
- Provides real-time monitoring of self-checkout cash levels dispensed and accepted
- Allows user to set thresholds and alerts for cash replenishment and pickups
- Offers automatic and full balancing options
- Enables cash forecasting for self-checkouts with vbForecast
- Provides the cash office with a “window” into the self-checkout
