Lenexa, Kan.: Keith Molzer, President and CEO of Balance Innovations, has received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2010® Technology Award in the Central Midwest region. According to Ernst & Young LLP, the award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. Molzer was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a gala event at the Overland Park Sheraton on June 2.

Molzer founded Balance Innovations in 2004, and, with the guidance and advice of his trusted mentors, Kurt Mueller and Larry Maddox, he raised the capital and built a team of retail and technology veterans. Together, Molzer and his team have taken five employees and one product with 600 installations and turned them into a company with 60 employees and a variety of reconciliation solutions installed in more than 6,000 retail locations in the United States and Canada. He has been an entrepreneur for more than 20 years and has founded and invested in a variety of start-ups in the Midwest.
The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year program honors entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exceptionality in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
As a Central Midwest award winner, Molzer is now eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year 2010 national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif., on November 13, 2010. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
